creating a unique
wedding & engagement
Before starting any new design project, we make sure we know exactly what you want. Here’s what Garreth and Terrie asked us for:
For their engagement party, Garreth and Terrie wanted to have a bright, colourful theme. They were going to be using blue, yellow and pink as the primary colours for the event and wanted to feature fireworks, so the challenge for us became how to combine all of these elements into a unified design.
The wedding reception was going to be held at the ‘Fig Tree Room’ at their chosen venue, so the couple wanted to keep with the theme of greenery and figs for the design. Green was going to be the primary colour for the wedding reception, and these elements worked easily together on the design.
what we delivered
For the final design, we decided to blend the pink and blue colours together in an ‘evening sky’ gradient, which also worked with the fireworks theme. We couldn’t get the yellow colour choice to work with the others, so we opted for white instead to achieve contrast with the colour gradient.
The combintation of figs and greenery lent itself to a more classical theme for the wedding stationery, and we decided to make a prominent header with an open fig to inject some colour into the design, on a base of greenery to keep with the overall theme. The placecards followed the same format, with a slightly altered header.
